Introduction: Service de Remplacement (SdR) is a nationwide network in France consisting of associations that provide temporary replacement services for human resources in agricultural businesses.
Main Services of SdR:
- Providing Replacement Workers: SdR supplies skilled and experienced workers to take over agricultural tasks, ensuring uninterrupted operations when regular employees are absent due to leave, illness, or other reasons.
- Human Resource Management Support: Member associations assist agricultural businesses in managing and training personnel, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and improving workforce efficiency.
- Consulting and Training: SdR offers training programs and advisory services for both employers and employees, helping to enhance skills and knowledge in the agricultural sector.

Challenges
With an extensive network and thousands of workers being replaced daily, Service de Remplacement (SdR) manages a massive workforce with continuous and complex scheduling demands. Tracking, coordinating, and ensuring the rights of both temporary workers and agricultural businesses require a flexible, accurate, and real-time human resource management system.
However, outdated desktop systems and legacy software lead to data fragmentation, delays in processing information, and difficulties in managing work schedules, contracts, payroll, and employee benefits. The lack of synchronization and automation not only increases the risk of errors but also limits scalability, directly impacting service quality and operational stability. To efficiently manage such a large workforce, SdR needs a modern, centralized solution to streamline and optimize operations.
Solution
Replacement of an old desktop application used by some associations and limited to the handling of the replacements, by a centralized web-based solution integrating all the backend features (invoicing, accounting, financial reporting, payroll, ...)
The new system is divided into 2 Odoo instances (with some synchronizations between them): one for back office features (used by the administrative staff), one playing the role of a marketplace (for the connection between the farmers and the temporary workers).
