About the Client

Founded in 1997 and a joint stock company since 2007, Hưng Trí supplies industrial refrigeration and M&E equipment, dock levellers and control panels, along with design and consulting services. It has more than 500 employees, an ISO 9001-certified quality management system, service centers in Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Da Nang and Hanoi, 3,150 m² of offices and showrooms and more than 30,000 m² of manufacturing facilities. As of 2022, the group was organized into 10 companies.

The Challenge

A Decade-Old HR System That Could Not Support Remote Work

Hưng Trí had used the same HR system for more than ten years. After COVID-19 it could not support remote work, so HR staff had to be in the office to process payroll, which was calculated manually in Excel.

Scattered Data Across 10 Companies

Each company used different management tools, so employee data was fragmented and inconsistent, reports were slow and inaccurate, and managers had no real-time view of the workforce.

Manual Approvals and No Overtime Alerts

Leave requests, expense approvals and contract reviews were handled by hand and often delayed, and without alerts for working hours and overtime, the risk of breaching labor regulations was higher.

Hưng Trí implemented Odoo's HR module to bring every company's employee data into one system. Payroll is calculated from attendance, work shifts and compensation policies, and approval requests reach managers by email or internal notification, so they can approve them in one click.
