Allows HR staff to record hire, start, and termination milestones for each employee and automatically derive their length of service.
Features
- hr.employee: Adds hire date, start date, and termination date fields restricted to HR users with tracking to capture lifecycle milestones.
- hr.employee: Computes cumulative service duration in days plus a years/months/days breakdown based on the recorded dates.
- hr.employee: Prefills the start date from the hire date when no start date is set to reduce manual input.
- payroll: Provides a helper to return an employee’s service duration as of any given date for downstream calculations.
- hr.employee form: Extends the HR settings tab with a Service Information group showing the lifecycle fields and duration breakdown to HR users.
