hr_department_code

Purpose

Adds department codes to HR departments and surfaces them across displays and searches.

Features

hr.department: Adds a code field to departments and orders records by code then name.
hr.department display: Prefixes department display names with the code when set while respecting hierarchical naming.
hr.department UI: Shows department code prominently in the form header, kanban cards, and tree list with optional visibility.
hr.department search: Extends the department filter to match entries by code as well as name.
