account_chart_update

Purpose

This module supplies a wizard to detect differences between a company's accounting structures and an account chart template and apply synchronized updates.

Features

wizard.update.charts.accounts: Lets finance users compare the company's tax groups, taxes, accounts, account groups, and fiscal positions against a chart template, review proposed creations, updates, and deactivations, and apply them in one flow.
wizard.update.charts.accounts: Offers toggles and per-model matching and field selections so administrators can control which models and fields participate in the synchronization and how existing records are matched.
wizard.update.charts.accounts: Enriches template data with available translations and refreshes record XML identifiers when required to keep template-aligned metadata consistent across languages.
wizard.update.charts.accounts: Filters template instructions to avoid linking new records to non-existent tax groups or accounts before creation, preventing invalid references during updates.
res.config.settings: Adds an Accounting settings action button that launches the chart update wizard prefilled with the current company.
account.chart.template: Restricts template selections to installed charts when the wizard requests it, reducing noise in the available options.
ir.model.fields: Shows field labels combined with their technical names while the wizard is open, helping users choose the right comparison fields.
