Project Lana – E-commerce verticals for the Vietnamese women

In Case Studies

About

Project Lana is a startup focused on e-commerce for the Vietnam women, a spin-off of Webtretho, the largest online community in Vietnam with over 1 million members. Both projects are backed by IDG Ventures Vietnam (one of the first VC firms in Vietnam).

The project

Project Lana started with the idea to leverage the large community of Webtretho with an offer tailored to the community and divided into 3 Magento-based sites:

  • Lamdieu: fashion and beauty products

  • Beyeu: mother and baby products

  • Foreva: lingerie

The Odoo project initiated after the first (failed) attempt to integrate a local accounting software as the back-end of the Magento-based front-end. The initial integration of Magento with Odoo was facilitated and sped up by the existence of a connector developed by Odoo community. The go-live happened after only 3 weeks of work.
